Terms and conditions

What you are agreeing to when you create a Saga account.

01

What this covers

These terms apply to your Saga account and your use of this site. Creating an account means you accept them.

This document is not yet complete. It describes how Saga operates and what your account entitles you to. It does not yet include the contractual sections a full terms of service carries — liability, warranties, dispute resolution, governing law, and termination rights among them. Those are being prepared by Saga's counsel. Until they are published, nothing here should be read as waiving any right you would otherwise have.

02

Your account

An account belongs to one person and is identified by one email address. You choose whether it is a community account or a manager account when you create it, and that choice determines what the site lets you do — a manager can apply to open positions, a community owner can create and manage an association.

You are responsible for keeping your password and access to your email address secure. Tell us if you believe someone else has used your account.

03

Membership

A free account lets you browse the marketplace and maintain a profile. Gold membership costs $10 per month, recurring, with no trial period, and is what allows a manager to apply directly to open positions.

Gold is billed monthly through Stripe and continues until you cancel it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. You can cancel at any time from your membership page.

04

What you give us

Signing up asks for your name, email address, phone number and postal address, and optionally a profile picture. Managers are also asked for their experience, the fee range they expect, and may upload a résumé.

Managers and associations are asked to supply supporting documents before their account is fully approved — identification and banking details for managers, governing documents for associations. These are reviewed by Saga staff.

Some of what you provide is public by design: a manager's profile appears in the manager directory unless you mark the account private. Documents and résumés are not public, and are served through expiring links rather than permanent URLs.

05

Saga's role

Saga is a marketplace. It is not a management company and is not a party to any management agreement reached through it. Fees are negotiated directly between an association and a manager, and the manager keeps the full amount — Saga takes no commission on that relationship.

See policies and procedures for how listings, approvals and the management relationship work in practice.

06

Closing an account

You can ask us to close your account at any time. A closed account can no longer sign in, is removed from the manager directory, and stops receiving Saga email.

Saga may close an account that is being used to abuse the marketplace or other members. The circumstances in which that applies, and any right of appeal, belong in the section counsel is preparing.

07

Changes to these terms

We record the date you accepted these terms. If they change materially — and the completion of the sections described above will be a material change — we will ask you to accept the new version rather than treat your earlier agreement as covering it.
